Bamboo removal from this Mid Devon home.
The bamboo was located on both sides of a patio directly outside the rear of the house.

Our clients had become increasingly concerned as culms were now growing in the lawn, rising up out of the patio, and had even started to grow in the drive.
The bamboo was spreading extensively.

The first area was in a corner where all main services entered the property.
The rhizomes were completely surrounding the electricity supply, gas pipe, phone cable, and waste pipe.
There were even culms rising up into the cavity wall, we retrieved culms from this cavity of around 3.5m in length.
The rhizomes were spreading under the patio, lifting slabs and had entered the lawn.

In the opposite corner the main concern was the significant damage to the slab patio, a large number of paving slabs were being lifted, with culms now growing out of the cracks.

Whenever bamboo rhizome is running under patios or similar, virtually without exception the actual amount will be far greater than you first imagine, on this bamboo removal we had to lift most of the patio slabs as the rhizome had spread so extensively.
