To fully understand your individual bamboo issue, to suggest a method of works, the costs involved, we need to visit and survey the bamboo and areas affected.
A walk around survey of your bamboo will include;
- The sizes and location of the bamboo.
- The properties affected by the bamboo.
- Any encroachment found into or from third party land.
- Visible damage to your and third party land and a grade of severity.
- Possible consequences of not undertaking works.
- Photographs of the impacted area and site plan.
- A suggestion of our recommended method of works to suit clients aims and budget.
- Future management.
- Costings for works.
- Multi page written report.

Our Bamboo Surveys cost £245 +vat, (£294 inc vat @20%)
The cost for this survey will be deducted from the total works costs when the recommended works are booked.

Send a video/s of your bamboo.
Sending a walk through video is a great way for us to give an initial Free Appraisal.
We are likely be able to give a recommendation of the type of works possible from looking at the videos you send, unfortunately we will not be able to give a cost for works, however we give costs guides on our Bamboo Removal Costs page.
The first stage to remove your bamboo is to book a Bamboo Survey.
The best way is via a walk through video.
Starting at the roadside at your house, video the route to the bamboo showing any obstacles along the way, such as gates, steps etc. Once at the bamboo location, showing the extent of the bamboo and any areas it has spread into.
Important – To be able to give a works guide your video needs to include,
- The area outside your homes entrance, including the drive or path leading to your house.
- Path or route to the bamboo, including any obstacles on the way, steps, corners, narrow bits, obstructions.
- The area surrounding the bamboo, showing where the bamboo lies. Is it in an open area, against a fence, in a flower border or walled area etc.
- The bamboo itself, from different view points, showing where it has spread.
- Show any encroachment into neighbouring properties.
We also need,
- Your name and address.
- An indication of whether you are more biased towards “Bamboo Excavation” or “Bamboo Herbicide Treatment”
To be able to give a realistic works guide, any expansion of the main bamboo must be clearly shown.
Clearly indicate the outer limits of growth, showing any culms standing or that have been cut or rhizomes visible at this point.
Failure to do this will affect the accuracy of any recommended works.
