Absolutely massive East Devon Bamboo Removal.
It is very rare to find bamboo of this size in an East Devon garden, or any garden at all, this was “Jungle” size.

This bamboo was planted many years ago, along with others in this East Devon garden, its location next to a mill leat may have provided it all the nutrients to grow so large from the watercourse bank soil.

This was bamboo on a massive scale, the height, diameter and sheer number of culms.
Culms reaching up to approximately 14m in height, diameters of over 65mm, this is big, very big.

The bamboo had become a real problem, rhizomes spreading extensively into the lawn in front, onto the bank of the mill leat behind.
Our clients had been very active cutting off culms as they grew, but it was a pointless task, the bamboo was far too prolific.

Luckily we had access for a larger excavator, the normal small excavators we often use for bamboo removals would not have stood a chance with the sheer volume and density of the rhizome mass.
