This bamboo in this Dorset garden was causing damage.
Very often homeowners simply do not realise the destructive power that bamboo has.

Bamboo excavation was certainly the most suitable method on this contract, removing as much rhizome as possible from the area to limit new damage to the resin path.

The rhizome was extending under the path, removal of this would obviously need the destruction of the new surface, so the amount underneath was left and chemically treated.

Once again this case shows that bamboo expands and can cause real physical damage.
