Bamboo has and continues to be used to create an attractive backdrop to landscaped areas in gardens.

Our client had done a great job trying to contain the rhizome expansion, but it was getting out of hand, bamboo removal specialists were needed.

The bamboo had spread under the fence to the rear into a rough vegetation covered hillside.
Spread sideways and forwards through shrubs, trees and was now encroaching into the pond structure.

As bamboo matures, the new year culms are taller and larger in diameter each year. Our photographs show the diameter of the new growth culms, around 25mm.

Works were complex, extremely careful excavation was needed to preserve the surrounding shrubs and trees, and not to cause damage to the water feature and pond.
